Many automobile companies are using strong hybrid and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) in their cars. The special thing about these cars is that they run on battery along with petrol. Due to which their range on full tank is quite great. The name of Audi's new A5 has also been included in this episode. Actually, in July 2024, the new Audi A5 was introduced with petrol and diesel engines. Now it has been updated with a new plug-in hybrid powertrain. Its electric range with PHEV powertrain is 110Km.
New PHEV Debuts in India
The A5 E-Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 252hp of power. This is paired to an electric motor (housed inside the gearbox) that produces 142hp of power. The total combined output on both the sedan and estate is available in two states. It produces 300hp of power, 450Nm of torque and 367hp of power, 500Nm of torque. Both versions are available with a 7-speed automatic gearbox and Quattro all-wheel drive.
The PHEV A5 models are identical to the standard models except for the E-Hybrid badge on the front fender of the car, as is the equipment list. The A5 E-Hybrid with higher power level comes as standard with Quattro S Line and Black Exterior Styling Package. Talking about the interior of the car, it also retains the 11.9-inch digital driver display and the MMI panoramic display with 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen. In the coming days, the company will introduce PHEV variants of A3, A6, Q5 and Nexon generation Q3.
